Since Autism is a broad spectrum of behaviors, the range of symptoms is equally as broad and undefined. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2022), delayed communication and social skills, overly repetitious behaviors, and heightened sensitivity to sights and sounds are just a few symptoms that could suggest the presence of Autism in a child. Symptoms usually begin to appear around the age of eighteen months. However, some symptoms may not appear until four or five years old.
